Veggie cheese balls are a nice snack item for kids after school. It can also be used as a finger food for small gatherings. These veggie cheese balls are made with mix of vegetables, spices, cheese, deep fried and served with chutney
Ingredients
For veggies
- 3 Boiled & mashed potatoes
- 1/3 cup Red beetroot fine shredded
- 1 medium size Carrot fine shredded
- 1/3 cup Cabbage fine shredded
- 4-5 French beans fine shredded
- 1 medium size Onion fine chopped
- 1 tsp Garlic & ginger paste each
- 12 Mozzarella cheese cubes
- Some mint leaves for garnishing
- some tomato ketchup
For spices
- 1/2 tsp Fennel seeds
- 1/4 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Coriander and Cumin powder each
- 2 tsp Chaat masala powder
- 1/4 tsp Hot red chili powder
- 1/4 tsp Dry roasted cumin & red chili powder
- 1 lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- 2 tsp Oil for cooking
- 1 cup Oil for deep frying
- some coriander leaves chopped
for covering
- 2 cup Bread crumb
- 1/2 cup All purpose flour
- 1 tbsp Fine rava or Sooji
- 1/4 tsp Baking powder
Instructions
- Once onion gets golden color, add all fine chopped vegetables and saute until vegetables gets tender at medium to high heat. Add all spices, coriander and cumin powder, chili powder, chaat masala, turmeric powder, roasted cumin and red chili powder. Saute it for 3 minutes. Once it's done, turn off the heat.
Recipe Notes
(1)..Leaving boiled potatoes in water for longer will result in potatoes absorbing high amount of moisture, so make sure you remove the potatoes immediately after boiling, by rinsing pressure cooker in cold water to release the pressure quickly.
(2).. Don't drop the veggie balls in to oil if oil is not hot enough otherwise the balls will break.

I have query here on this recipe.Once you break the veg ball how to get the soft and stretchier consistency cheese in that not like the same shape what we put in the veg ball?
