Tengra fish is one of the tasty fish found in Bengal. This recipe is very easy to prepare and mostly famous in Bihar and Bengal state in India.
Ingredients
For Fish Marination
- 500g Tengra fish cleaned
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp Red chili powder
- 1 tsp Garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp Ginger paste
- 2 tbsp Oil Mustard oil is good for fish, you can use other as well
- 1 tbsp Rice Flour
- Salt to taste
For Curry Masala
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 6 clove Garlic
- 1'' Ginger
- 1/3 cup Spring onion
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp Red chili
- 1/2 tsp Amchoor powder
- 2 tsp Coriander and Cumin powder each
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper powder
- 1/4 tsp Mustard powder
- 3 tbsp Oil or mustard oil
- 1/4 tsp Cumin Seeds
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Add coriander-cumin powder, black pepper powder, turmeric powder, mustard powder, chili powder, amchoor powder and 1/4 cup water then saute the masala for 5 minutes or till masala gets fried very well.. Add 2 cups of water, and bring it to boil. Once it starts boiling, add grilled fish into the curry. Cook it for 2-3 minutes. Turn off the heat. Adjust the consistency of curry as per your taste.
