Carrot (Gajar) Halva is one of the popular dessert prepared with milk, mava and carrots. This recipe is generally prepared using a dark red carrot which is available in India and it gives a beautiful color to the dish. I could not find the same carrot in US so used regular carrots. You could add little bit of beetroot to get a darker shade. It is a rich recipe and teases your taste buds if you are health freak. Occasionally its good to give a treat to yourself. Kids love this sweet.
