Veg Set Dosa is a very good option for kids lunch. It’s fulfilling and nutritious. You would need prior preparation to quickly make it in the morning however takes less time in the morning to cook. Set Dosa’s are similar to pancakes, fluffy and soft. Sneak in any vegetable you like in it for your kids. This set dosa goes well with sambhar, coconut chutney or south Indian veg curry.
Ingredients
For set dosa
- 3 cup Dosa or idli batter fermented
- 2 Baby carrots shredded
- 1 Zucchini shredded
- 1/3 cup Red beetroot shredded
- Pinch of baking soda
- Salt to taste
- 3 tbsp Olive oil for Dosa cooking
Dosa batter- For 18 dosas
- 2 cup Idli rice
- 1 cup raw rice
- 1 cup Urad daal
- 1/2 cup Cooked rice or poha
- 1 tsp Toor daal
- 1 tsp Channa daal
- 1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds

- In a heated non-stick flat pan, pour 1 scoop of veg dosa batter on pan, you don't need to spread it, unless you would like the dosa very thin. Pour 1/2 tsp oil around the set Dosa. Cook Dosa until bottom is golden brown for about one and half minute with lid on at slightly lower than medium heat setting.
