Kadhi is one of the easiest recipe which is made using gram flour (besan), yogurt( curd) and spices tadka. Normally, we make kadhi with bari. The bari made with besan and deep fried. Punjabi kadhi is made replacing bari with fried onion pakoras. There are variety of kadhi recipe in different part of India. Punjabi pakora kadhi is one of them. Ingredients
For Onion Pakora
- 1 medium Onion thin lengthwise sliced
- 1/3 cup Spring onion chopped
- 3/4 cup Gram flour( besan)
- 3 tbsp Rice Flour
- 1/4 tsp Red chili powder
- 1/8 tsp Carom seeds (ajwain)
- 1/8 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp Baking powder
- 1/8 tsp Garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup Oil for frying
For Kadhi
- 1/4 cup Gram flour( besan)
- 1/2 cup Sour curd (yogurt)
- 2 tbsp Roasted methi( fenugreek) leaves
- 2 Whole red chili
- 1/4 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/8 tsp Methi seeds
- 1/4 tsp Asafoetida (hing)
- 1/2 cup Onion chopped
- 1 tbsp Ginger paste
- 1 tsp Garlic paste
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Jaggrey
- 3 tbsp Oil
- some coriander leaves chopped
