Plain Dosa is popular breakfast item in south India. This recipe is very easy to make and delicious to eat. Dosa is complemented by sambar and chutney.
Ingredients
For Dosa batter
- 3 cup Idli rice or long grain rice
- 1 cup Urad dal
- 1/2 cup Cooked rice or poha
- 1 tsp Fenugreek seeds methi
- 1 tsp Chana dal
For making Dosa
- 2 cup dosa batter fermented
- 1 cup Water
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Grind soaked Urad dal with little water and make a smooth paste. Pour the paste in a big mixing bowl. In the same grinder, grind soaked rice and cooked rice together with little water. Add enough water for it to be able to grind. Grind till becomes a fine paste. Pour the batter into a mixing bowl, then add urad dal paste to it. Mix well, and keep it in a warm place over night for fermentation.
