Fulka is an Indian flat bread made of multi-grain wheat flour. This is very healthy as it does not required any oil while preparation like parathas and poories. Fulka goes with any type of curry either veg or non-veg.
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cup Multi grain wheat flour see my recipe for multigrain flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- Water for kneading
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, add multi-grain flour, wheat flour and salt, add little by little water and make a semi soft dough. Cover the dough with lid and leave it for 10 minutes. After leaving it for 10 minutes knead the dough for 1 min. To check if dough is proper ensure that it does not stick on hand, if it is sticky sprinkle some dry flour and knead it again.
- To puff the fulka, take it off from the tava and place it on the flame with top of the fulka facing to the net on an electric stove. If you are using gas stove, place directly on the flame. Wait for few seconds, the fulka will get completely puffed. Take it out from the flame and store in a covered container. Use the same procedure to make fulka from rest of the dough.
