  1. Matcha Green Tea powder.
  2. In a sauce pan add milk, sugar, salt and heavy cream. On medium heat and bring it almost to boil. Stir it continuously.
  3. Take 1/3 cup warm milk from the above step in a bowl and add 3 table spoon green tea powder to it. Whisk the milk using wire whisker until there are no lumps.
  4. Once milk start boiling, pour the green tea milk mixture and mix it well together.
  5. Bring the temperature to between low to medium heat and stir the milk continuously to avoid getting burnt. Boil it until it is thick enough to make a coat on the spoon.
  6. Turn off the heat and cool down on ice bath.
  7. Pour the mixture in plastic container or any baking tray and cover it. Chill it for 1-2 hrs or over night in freezer.
  8. Also chill the ice cream maker bowl in freezer over night or follow the instructions of ice cream maker.
  9. Turn on the ice cream maker and pour the mixture into the frozen ice cream maker bowl and let it run for about 15-20 minutes.
  10. This process would give a cream texture to the ice cream. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and place in freezer for 3-4 hrs.
  11. Delightful Match green tea ice cream is ready to be served.
  12. Take it out from the freezer about 5 minutes before serving.
  13. Scoop it using ice cream scoop and serve as a cool dessert.

Recipe Notes

Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream_29 If you don’t have ice cream maker, freeze the mixture at step 8  for 2 hours first then take it out and mix it using fork all around. Put it back in to the freezer and after that take it out after every 45 minutes, and mix it using fork, and repeat this whole process for at least 5 times. After this process, freeze it for 4-3 hrs. then serve.
