Falafel

Falafel is the Mediterranean cuisine traditionally made from garbanzo beans and fava beans.  This recipe is little variation from the original Falafel. Falafel can be used as a snack item, or in a sandwich. It is also used along with Pita bread, vegetables and sauce.

Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Ingredients for Falafel. Soak the garbanzo beans, black chickpeas and green moong lentil in water overnight.
  2. Grind all soaked item along with garlic, coriander leaves and parsley in a grinder.
  3. Make sure the mixture is grind to the level as shown in picture.
  4. Mix all the listed ingredients except oil create a little dry mixture. Add more breadcrumbs if mixture is wet.
  5. Use a big spoon to give a nice falafel shape from the mixture.
  6. Heat oil in a frying pan in a medium to high heat. Once oil gets hot, bring the heat to medium to low. Drop the Falafel in to the hot oil and deep fry till both side gets golden color. Please do not use high heat as it would not get cooked properly.
  7. Place the cooked Falafel on paper kitchen towel to absorb the extra oil.
  8. Hot Falafel are ready to be served with sour cream dip or in a sandwich.
