Rasam is a south Indian lentil soup flavoured with tamarind, tomatoes and rasam powder. Rasam can be served as a soup or as a side for white rice. Rasam powder is easily available in Indian grocery store however fresh homemade rasam powder gives a wonderful taste and aroma to your rasam. The rasam powder is made with blend of Indian dry roasted spices. In southern part of India, people make rasam powder or any spices mix in a bulk and it comes in various varieties. You can adjust the spiciness by adding chili & black pepper corn in this recipe as per your choice.

Indian Blackberry Ukadiche Modak
Ukadiche modak is a delicious traditional Maharashtrian delicacy which is made during Ganesh puja to worship Lord Ganesha. Modaks are made with steamed rice flour shells filled with filling made from freshly grated coconut, jaggery, nuts, flavored with cardamom powder and nutmeg. For this recipe adding Indian blackberry a.k.a. jamun puree to rice flour gave a beautiful color to the traditional modaks. The most important aspect of making modaks is getting the perfect shape which is done by making rice flour petals and requires some practice before you can get perfection. Besan Laddoo
Besan laddoo is one of the most popular delicious Indian sweet across all over India. Besan (gram flour) laddoo made with ingredients like roasted besan, ghee or butter, sugar and flavored with green cardamom powder and pistachios. Besan laddoo is all time favorite of my kids. The aroma of roasted besan is awesome. Normally, the sweets like laddoos are made on special occasions like Diwali, Ganesh chaturthi and other festivals, however you can make any time. The recipe for besan laddoo is very simple and easy. The most important part of recipe is right level of roasting, consistency and texture of the mix. The texture of the besan ladoo is soft however you could still feel the granularity of roasted besan. You could share laddos as gift pack to family & friends and it could last for about a month.
Green Spinach & Mustard Paratha
Paratha is a popular Indian flat bread all over India. Parathas are generally served with various curries and side dishes in Indian food. There are varieties of paratha in Indian cuisines like stuffed paratha, plain paratha or veggie parathas. Sandesh is a very famous Bengali delicacy dessert. It is a very soft dessert which melts in mouth while eating. On the occasion of Rakha Bandan, sharing this recipe for all sisters who would want to try it. The recipe is very easy to prepare and could be prepared on any occasion. It is prepared using home made paneer and filled with kesar mava and strawberry sauce. For presentation, I have used melted chocolate, whipping cream and some sugar candy and along with watermelon & blueberry. You can decorate it in your own way. Tradionally there is no filling in Sandesh however in this recipe the strawberry sauce and mava filling makes sandesh more rich and yummy.
Punjabi Pakora Kadhi
Kadhi is one of the easiest recipe which is made using gram flour (besan), yogurt( curd) and spices tadka. Normally, we make kadhi with bari. The bari made with besan and deep fried. Punjabi kadhi is made replacing bari with fried onion pakoras. There are variety of kadhi recipe in different part of India. Punjabi pakora kadhi is one of them. Masala dosa is a one of the popular breakfast dish in southern part of India, however loved across the India. There are varieties of dosa recipes like plain dosa, paper dosa, rava dosa, ragi dosa, mysore masala dosa and so on. This recipe is traditional and made with main ingredients as urad daal and rice. Masala dosa is all time favorite of my family. Generally masala of masala dosa is made of potato and onion, however in this recipe I have given a small twist by adding bell pepper to the same which gives a little different taste and flavor. Masala dosa goes very well with sambhar and coconut, peanut or tomato chutney. The recipe requires preparation a day before you want to make Masala Dosa.
